2/16/12

Hi there!
Today at school, it was celebrity day. I went as Audrey Hepburn, and did a pretty great job of looking like her, if you want my opinion. :)
Life is amazing as always. Nothin' to complain about. Sure, things go wrong, but I am an optimist. And plus, if I got my way all the time, I'm 100% sure life wouldn't be as great for me as it is. :)
Yesterday, I heard something in a song that really made me think. It's a little piece of a song that's talking about what people do when they feel hurt. It says some people go to a bottle, others turn to a drug. Some people turn to another person's arms but it never feels like enough. It's that last part about another person's arms and then never feeling like enough that made me think. I don't know if the song meant turning to another's arms as in n-ts n-ts n-ts (<-- that's a beat), or just as in going to another person to talk about it or a hug or some other form of consolation. The thing is, I'm the kind of person that wants to solve other peoples' problems. I want to be someone people can talk to, let it all out to. I'm a shoulder to cry on and I like to give advice. Thing is, even if it helps, do the people I help feel like I did enough for them? And I realized that only God could ever completely satisfy a person's need for consolation, venting, whatever they need. Only God could solve all their problems, only God could mend a shattered heart, only God can ever understand a person's whole true story. Only He could give the advice they really need. Anyways, that's my view of that. Any questions? Statements?

Valentine's Day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE! :D
Today was super great! Who said single people couldn't have a good time on Valentine's Day? haha
Anyways, have anything you wanna say about your Valentine's Day? Feel free to comment! :)

Lately, I've been thinking about separation of church and state, and I've formed an opinion that I'm starting to firmly believe in. Sure, we have to let our representatives know what we want, but really, it's our job as Christians to spread the word about topics such as homosexuality. This IS a free country, so the government can't force people out of a place just because they're married and they can't get married where they live. Now, don't take me wrong, I'm not pro-homosexuality. It goes against my beliefs.  But if we ban that, then others will try even harder to ban Christianity or other religions. Then what kind of freedom is that? No, let the government leave us free. Let Believers share their faith and testimony.
Speaking of which, my thoughts on homosexuality, since we're on this topic now, I find it wrong, not only because it says so in the Bible, but because if you look at it anatomically, man was made for woman. We have the opposite parts that go together. A vagina doesn't go into a vagina and a penis doesn't go into a penis. It just doesn't work. This is one topic that I REALLY want to know your thoughts on. Comment please.

And that's all I feel like puttin' up here today. Again, Happy Valentine's Day, take care, God bless, and have a great rest-of-the-day!

Another Day

Today was pretty great. I woke up to find that it had snowed last night, so I went outside to make a snowman before coming back inside to get ready for school. Then, today, spirit week began at my school. Today was Decades Day, so I went as a hippie. (Original, huh?) The day pretty much flew by. I started on a new picture in art, found that I got the highest test score in my anatomy class and I might have the highest average in there also, and i drew an amazing picture on my own hand haha.
When I got home from school, I found that I had gotten a package from my family for Valentine's day. I got 2 adorable Valentine's Day cards that made a great day even better. I went outside to call my little sister and decided to kick around part of my snowman that had fallen off and found that the cartoons were right! (About a snowball getting bigger when it rolls through more snow.) I'd seen it all the time in cartoons, but I had never tried it myself. :D Anyways, I have homework to do. See ya!

Starting It Off

Obviously, this is a new blog. I'll be talking about my daily life, my opinions on certain subjects, my views on religion, and random ideas. Feel free to read on. :)

So, to start it off, I'm Yeya. That's not pronounced Yaya. There's an E after that first Y; YEya. That's always the problem the first time I tell anyone my nickname... haha First thing you should know about me, I'm almost ALWAYS happy. It's hard to make me mad or sad. (I'm a forgive and forget kind of person.)
I absatively posalutely LOVE art. Any form of it: drawing, painting, sculpting, pottery, carpentry, metalsmithing, cake decorating, music and dance. Although, I don't dance and I like to sing, but I don't play any instruments. Instead, I am a sound technician.
Speaking of art, I have an art show on April 27, 2012 (<--- in case you didn't know what year it was haha). Anyone is welcome to attend. I'll post the location later, because I still don't know where it's going to be.
I also love volleyball, soccer, swimming, football, anatomy and physiology, and any form of sugar. I eat so many sweets, my big sister once said that it was probably the reason that I'm such a sweet person. :D
I'm also pretty patient, unless you're my dog and won't stop scratching at the door, a baby that won't stop crying, or my big sister being "sisterly." Also, for some reason, even though I can't stand a crying baby, I can take on any toddler. Even a spoiled little kid. It's probably because I have a 6 year old mentality about half the time. It makes it easier to reason with the kid and understand what's going on, I guess.
I am a Christian. I am a Creationist. Feel free to ask anything about that, I'll tell you what I think. I'm not the kind of person to try and shove my beliefs down your throat. :)
As for the government, I love to share my thoughts on it, although I rarely ever know EXACTLY what's going on, or I'll have a vague idea of what's going on. Either way, it's best to fill me in on what you're talking about. I'll be able to communicate my thoughts better. Also, some parts of our government frustrate me, but that makes it funner for me to talk about it. I can focus more on what I'm talking about.
And my day today was pretty good. Took a morning shower (kinda rare; I usually shower at night), got ready and went off to church with my big sister and her hubby and son. Came home, ate, worked on my project for a while for school, and decided to pick out what I'd be wearing all week. I can be such a girl sometimes. :) That's all for now. Ask whatever you want, I'll answer ASAP. :D Take care, God bless all of you!

P.S. I don't wear makeup. Just thought I should throw that out there. :)
